1. Information We Collect

When you use Photoago, we collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, username, and profile photo when you create an account.
  • Photos: Old photos and current reference photos you upload for AI recreation. These are stored securely in our cloud storage. Photoago does not collect, extract, or store any facial biometric data, face templates, face landmarks, or face recognition data. Photos are used solely as input to our AI image generation service and are not analyzed for biometric identification.
  • AI-Generated Content: The recreated images produced by our AI models.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including features used, scan modes selected, and engagement with the social feed.
  • Purchase Information: Records of credit pack purchases, processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and optimization.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide AI-powered photo recreation services
  • To maintain and improve the Photoago platform
  • To process in-app purchases and manage your credit balance
  • To enable social features (feed, likes, comments, follows)
  • To send important service updates and newsletters (with your consent)
  • To moderate content and enforce community guidelines
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats

3. AI Processing & Third-Party AI Services

To generate your recreation, your uploaded photos (the source photo and any reference selfies) are transmitted to third-party AI services for processing. You will be asked to explicitly consent to this data sharing inside the app before your first scan. The services used are:

Photos sent to these services are used solely to generate your requested recreation. They are not used to train AI models, and they are deleted by both Photoago and the upstream providers after processing. All transmission is over encrypted (TLS) connections.

You can withdraw consent at any time by ceasing to use the scan feature, or by deleting your account (see Section 7). Photoago does not share your photos with any third-party AI service beyond the two listed above.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database) and Supabase Storage, both hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and follow industry best practices for data security. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Social Feed & Public Content

When you post a recreation to the social feed, the before and after images, your username, and caption are visible to all Photoago users. You can delete your posts at any time. Your reference selfies are never shared publicly.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Google Gemini API: For AI image generation (Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro). Receives your uploaded source photo and reference selfies. See Section 3 for details.
  • Runware (Seedream 4.5): For AI image generation (default high-quality model). Receives your uploaded source photo and reference selfies. See Section 3 for details.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: For payment processing
  • Supabase: For database, authentication, and file storage
  • Vercel: For website and API hosting
  • Resend: For transactional and newsletter email delivery

We confirm that each third-party service listed above provides the same or equivalent level of data protection as described in this Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of marketing emails
  • Request correction of inaccurate data

8. Children's Privacy

Photoago is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or email. Your continued use of Photoago after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
